MaggieMoose: It's A Small World!

Maggie's pawsability thought for the day:
"its a small world after all
its a small world after all
its a small world after all
its a small, small world"

  Maggie and I thought it was a great idea to order beach balls of the world with our logo of MaggieMooseTracks® imprinted on them. We imagined we could give these away to promote our global theme of Living life with moose size pawsabilities around the worldMoose are after all the largest of the deer family (shoulder height 5-6.5 ft or 1.5-2 m). Well, it's a small world after all. This statement has two meanings for us. One, the beach ball turned out to be what we call a baby beach ball, about 7 inches in height. We decided this could work, our little beach ball, after all living life with moose size pawsabilities is about dreams & goals bigger than life, bigger than one could imagine...MOOSE size! The second realization we had was the whole world fits in our hands & paws. It's pawsable to live life with moose size pawsabilities around the world! We started humming the Disney song It's A Small World.... Then the mail arrived. Oops. It's really a small world.

We opened the package. Inside Maggie received a t-shirt gift from her favorite online social media furriends on Twitter- #Nipclub! Awhile ago we were asked what size t-shirt? We replied medium. Clueless here. Maggie's #Nipclub t-shirt can fit our little plush St. Bernard buddy.

Oh #Nipclub we love you! Maggie's just a little bigger, but the t-shirt might fit a medium cat. We realized it's really is a small world in size and thought, but one's thoughts can reach bigger-all the way around the world! It's pawsable.

"it's a world of laughter, a world or tears
its a world of hopes, its a world of fear
there's so much that we share
that its time we're aware
its a small world after all"

MaggieMoose: I Pose Therefore I Am

Maggie's pawsability thought for the day:
"The privilege of a lifetime is being who you are."

  My dear Maggie is such a good sport. I think wow her coloring really 'pops' against the beautiful green grass. I ask her to pose. She obliges. We carry on with our walk. I stop to photograph a pink flower. Maggie thinks I'm done with her since I've moved on to flowers...

I'm still thinking Maggie looks really good in the sunshine against that green grass. I ask her to pose again. While Maggie sits for me I snap the iPhone photo. I look at the photo I just took.

Really Maggie? I know it's bright, but eyes closed? Is this a hint we're done? She puts her head up as if to tease me with another pose. OK Maggie, snap, last shot. You are who you are. I thank you. It's been a privilege being with you as you are. Hugs.

Friends, Maggie & I have a request of you and we thank you in advance... Would you please subscribe to our webpage link located in the right top column on the homepage? It will help us make sure no one gets dropped off our blogs & news since migrating to our new website. WOOF WOOF

MaggieMoose: Prickles & Twigs

Maggie's pawsability thought for the day:
"I always prefer to believe the best of everybody, it saves so much trouble."

  In our children's book MaggieMooseTracks® Making Friends we portray a fictionalized Maggie lost in the forest searching for her real family. In one of her adventures she comes across a mishap from Polly the porcupine who filled her face with painful porcupine quills. In real life, sometimes we get hurt by others words or actions without their intention to hurt us. Maggie and I know that humans make mistakes. Animals too. After all, if Maggie held a grudge against me for something she considered 'not nice' how could she enjoy her twig in peace? We like to believe the best in others. And like our fictionalized Maggie, we forgive, forget and move on. It saves us so much trouble just like Rudyard Kipling says.

MaggieMoose: A Circle Of Friends That Never Ends...

Maggie's pawsability thought for the day:
Have you ever heard the wolf cry to the blue corn moon
Or asked the grinning bobcat why he grinned?
Can you sing with all the voices of the mountains?
Can you paint with all the colors of the wind?
 ~~~~~~~~~~
And we are all connected to each other
In a circle, in a hoop that never ends.....
  I played for Maggie the song Colors of the Wind sung by Judy Kuhn from the classic Disney movie Pocahontas. It reminded us of our new children's book MaggieMooseTracks® MakingFriends (age 6 up) now on Kindle. (PS. Adults like it too!) In our book, we wanted to share the theme of appreciating individuality, nature, and that we are all connected in a circle of friendship that never ends. Our story tells of a fictionalized Maggie, a puppy with moose antlers, who meets some interesting animals and kids on her adventure to finding her own family. Maggie and I hope that our circle of friends will tell their circle of friends about our new book with its important messages. We've painted the beauty and wonder of the colors of friendship in our fully colored, illustrated chapter book.
The paperback edition of MaggieMooseTracks® MakingFriends will be available anytime from 2-3 hours or 5-7 days on Amazon.com. We'll post updates on our website when we have the link! Your reviews on Amazon.com will help make our 1st book a huge success. Would you please share the book news and write a review? We thank you in advance for helping us connect globally in friendship through our heartfelt, yet adventurous romp in MaggieMooseTracks® MakingFriends
MaggieMoose: EXTRA! EXTRA! READ ALL ABOUT IT!
Maggie's pawsability thought for the day:
"You must be the change you wish to see in the world."
  Maggie and I woke up to an email from Amazon.com stating that the Kindle edition of our 1st children's book MaggieMooseTracks® MakingFriends is available on their website! OMD! (Oh My Dog in Twitter language.) We wanted to write a book (series) that children and adults can enjoy. We wanted stories that encouraged kids (or adults) to feel good about themselves no matter what they look like, how they act, or how different they feel from others. After all, living the life of a puppy with moose antlers isn't an everyday occurrence. Our feedback so far from our free preview of Chapter 1 posted on our www.MaggieMooseTracks.com website tells us we are spot on. Adults and children both love our book! Big WOOF WOOF from Maggie as she wiggles her bum.
The paperback edition will be available after the Amazon approval process which can take as little as 2-3 hours or 5-7 days from today. We'll keep you informed. WOOF! WOOF! Maggie asks if our readers would please help us out and WRITE REVIEWS? This will help the success of the book globally. We're also posting a free PDF version of our book on our www.MaggieMooseTracks.com website. MaggieMooseTracks® MakingFriends is the change we want to see in the world where every one is precious.
OMD, Maggie wants her bedtime story read now before her nap.....
ENJOY Maggie's tails, gotta go!
MaggieMoose: I'm Somebody Loved Up
Maggie's pawsability thought for the day:
"Affection is responsible for nine-tenths of whatever solid and durable happiness there is in our lives."
  Maggie was listening to Dean Martin's song You're Nobody Till Somebody Loves You. She decided to cozy up to her human uncle John or UJ. I could tell she was starting to melt with affection as he stroked her back over and over again. Maggie absolutely felt like somebody-somebody loved up. The seal of happiness came when she melted off into loved up land....somebody loved up!
MaggieMoose: That's Amore...Loved Up
Maggie's pawsability thought for the day:
"Everyone wants to be appreciated, so if you appreciate someone, don't keep it a secret."
  Maggie has reached a new high. She's in the getting loved up mode with family in town or dropping by to visit. Her new status is lapdog. All 50 lbs. of her is guaranteed to squeeze in and fit any family member's lap somehow. Maggie's not's keeping it a secret, she's doing her best to appreciate everyone. That's Amore! All loved up!
MaggieMoose: Chocolate Moose Joy
Maggie's pawsability thought for the day:
"Joy is what happens to us when we allow ourselves to recognize how good things really are."
Maggie's rich, velvety coloring reminds me of chocolate moose. As in chocolate mousse. YUM. I'm a lucky girl to have such chocolaty love in my life. Others are lucky too, because Maggie exudes sweetness. For those out there that think she's a marshmallow push over- beware, her bitter chocolate side that makes her so sweet will come out gnarling. Miss Maggie is very protective of her human family. The other 99.9% of the time she's like having dessert without the calories. I recognize how good things are with Maggie's chocolate moose joy of in my life. Have a WOOF WOOF wonderful day world!
MaggieMoose: Warm & Fuzzy Family Love
Maggie's pawsability thought for the day:
"To us, family means putting your arms around each other and being there."
  Maggie is feeling her warm and fuzzy best. In between having love and affection from family she caught up with some Zzzs as she slept next to our family members. They huddled together while they surfed online. We have family here this week for the weekend's upcoming college graduation event. CONGRATS Patrick on your Masters! WOOF WOOF! Maggie is over the moon with everyone here. While we celebrate this upcoming happy event we also take a moment to paws and celebrate another family member who in affectionate terms went 'over the rainbow bridge' this week. Aunt Donna Pat we loved and adored you. In spirit, we'll remember your smile and sweet laugh forever....
Maggie's grandma with Aunt Donna Pat (with glasses)
Meanwhile, back on the couch the surf fest continued as a new passage in life was unfolding. Apartment hunting online.... Grandma, Julie and UJ (Uncle John) looked at many apartments online; carpet, no-carpet, bay window, first floor, second floor, laundry facilities, no facilities, etc. I think their apartment hunting banter put Maggie to sleep. But, I could tell she loved having their arms around her before she curled up....
We close our post sending our blessings to our Texas tribe. We're with you in spirit as we remember your wife, your mother, your grandmother and so much more...loving Aunt Donna Pat we miss you. HUGS.
Twigless, but keeping the faith....
Overnight wind gusts blew...TWIGS! Joy.
MaggieMoose: Sprouted Bouquet Of Little Cookies
Maggie's pawsability thought for the day:
 "If we plant the right seeds, tomorrow will be better. If you put out good things, then you'll get good things back. That's part of our responsibility as entertainers."
  Once upon a time there was a dog named Cookie. She had a litter of 13 puppies. This dog was part of the family of English Springer Spaniels that Maggie came from. I remember telling the breeder 'Wow, 13 puppies is a baker's dozen. And your dog's name is Cookie!' Too cute. Maggie and I thought this is a great seed of an idea for our first kid's book MaggieMooseTracks® Making Friends. The next ingredient we wanted for our first children's book was a feel good message for all the kids and families. Maggie, being part moose really understands what it means to be different in a normal dog world. Our goal was to promote the preciousness for being different in a child's world. Many families are different too. Maggie and I celebrate diversity in life much like a mixed bouquet of flowers. All flowers are wonderful, all are beautiful, and all are a pleasure to appreciate. After all, Maggie is not your typical dog. I ask myself how many families have dogs that bring in twigs for show & tell? And with such pride! Maggie is a diverse world unto herself, making our family different too. Her responsibility as 'twig' entertainer prompts Maggie to promote something of value for the wee ones through her children's book series MaggieMooseTracks®. ALERT: For those that already read Chapter 1 online and LOVED it, there is Book 2 in the wings...
Yesterday's twig 'catch of the day'
Back at the ranch, Maggie and I are counting the days down (it's down to days) until our 1st book MaggieMooseTracks® Making Friends is published on Amazon.com, Kindle, iBooks and PDF on our website MaggieMooseTracks.com. While we impatiently wait, we wanted to share the real dog Cookie with her baker's dozen of little Cookie puppies. Such cute little sprouts!
Since MaggieMoose is quite the globe trotter in friendships around the world (blog read in 87+ countries), our book MaggieMooseTracks® Making Friends is currently being translated into Japanese. It will be ready for purchase right after our 1st book is out in June 2013. We have the Spanish language in the pipeline too. Living life with moose size pawsabilities around the world! WOOF WOOF
MaggieMoose: Scarlet In Gone With The Woof
Maggie's pawsability thought for the day:
"I've always said to my men friends, If you really care for me, darling, you will give me territory. Give me land, give me land."
Scarlet
  Last week Maggie had some shots to get at the Vet's office to keep her current with her immunizations. Unlike a lot of pets, Maggie likes going to the Vet's. She gets treats, loved on and meets new furry friends. Then she met Scarlet, the little French bulldog. It was like Scarlet cast in a movie called Gone With The Woof. Feisty little one!
Scarlet didn't hold still for my camera-blurry alert
Maggie, as usual, wasn't the most tactful when she, in her 50 lb body, lumbered over to meet little Miss Scarlet who was maybe below 10 lbs? 'Woof Woof' from Scarlet. Whoa! Maggie put the skids on! She backed up right into me either shocked or scared for her life. LOL
Scarlet in her fierceness (such a cutie)-blurry alert
Scarlet taught Maggie a big lesson. One must use polite manners when greeting others. Maggie encroached onto Scarlet's territory and she wasn't having any of that nonsense. Scarlet gave a woof about her personal space at the Vet's office. Give me land! Give me land! No problem Scarlet, take all the space you want. Maggie will let you go first.... We love you Scarlet! You are too cute!!!
MaggieMoose: The Best In Me
Maggie's pawsability thought for the day:
"My best friend is the one who brings out the best in me."
  Maggie was laying next to me just looking into my eyes. I looked into hers. Best friends. She's my bestie, my gal pal, my inspiration and so much more. MaggieMoose in her subtle way has rocked my world into my own revolutionary shift. Quantum leap. The children's book my kids were always bugging me to write (for years) was written thanks to my muse MaggieMoose. The children's book Maggie's breeder kept suggesting me to write was written. Life in MaggieMoose world is filled with wonder... I credit this wonder to my best friend Maggie who brings out the best in me. Secretly, she brings out the best in others too. My world before Maggie was in tones of black & white. Now it's in full, living color. Our children's book with Maggie's fictionalized character will be published within the next two weeks on Amazon.com: paperback & Kindle, iBook & PDF format free on our website. Keep checking our website www.MaggieMooseTracks.com because it might be out sooner.... Maggie's CALL TO ACTION is to: Subscribe on our website for news and updates!
Our book is called MaggieMooseTracks® Making Friends
The 1st chapter is online now at our web site: www.MaggieMooseTracks.com/books. Please check it out. After others have read our 1st chapter online we've heard comments back like....Loved it! Oh no, what happens next? Where can I buy the book? Is there a Book 2?
The illustrations were done by Randy Jennings. They are amazing. He really captured the spirit of little puppy Maggie with moose antlers and all her friends. Maggie and I ask if you would please write a review after you buy the paperback or download the free eBook versions? Writing a review will help our success! Rest assured, there are more MaggieMooseTracks® adventures coming in Book 2. It's already in the works. It's Maggie's holiday adventure with friends (Hanukkah & Christmas)
