MaggieMoose: Mommy's Girl for Mother's Day

Maggie's pawsability thought for the day:
"I'm a Mommy's girl - the strongest influence in my young life was my mom."

Some moms get flowers for Mother's day...
Maggie's Happy Mother's Day gift to me ~ a mother of a twig from the garden!
Maggie - she is a mommy's girl! Smooches all over her face! Thank you MaggieMoose!

MaggieMoose: Raining Sunshine & Flowers & Twigs

Maggie's pawsability thought for the day:
"Just living is not enough... one must have sunshine, freedom, and a little flower."

  Our world has been under heavy dew drops. It has R-A-I-N-E-D for days. When the sunshine decided to sparkle its rays we went outside and soaked it up! We had one moment under the sun before the cloud cover returned. It was all we needed. A little freedom to look up and smile at the sunshine & flowers. Today's weather alerts are for heavy fog. Yes, we could barely see each other in the fog on our walk. We asked ourselves; this is California, right? Not London? Maggie's always the optimist rain or shine so, every day's a good day for her. Rain & wintry weather bring twigs a plenty. A big S-C-O-R-E  for a twig lover! After Maggie's morning walk she decided to burrow in for the remainder of winter to live life on a horizontal angle. Her sign is posted: Wakes up for twigs or sun. Flowers a bonus.

MaggieMoose: Outside Bellissimo

Maggie's pawsability thought for the day:
"In every walk with nature one receives far more than he seeks."

MaggieMoose: A Balanced Art Of Rose & Twig

Maggie's pawsability thought for the day:
 "What I dream of is an art of balance, of purity and serenity... a soothing, calming influence on my mind, rather like a good armchair which provides relaxation...

  Art is our life. Maggie and I like to start our day off with a nice calm walk. We like to see the flowers in bloom, hear the birds chirp and maybe greet some humans along the way. This world of living art in three dimensions feeds our soul. The best part for Maggie is when we're back home and she can run outside in the yard, mill about the tree debri on the ground and select just the right twig. It's a Zen like thing for her to do. Peace and calm come across her face as she holds her twig for those brief moments...before I pay her with a treat to release it! Then Maggie plops in her cozy bed like a good armchair and enters into her state of total relaxation. Zzzs.

MaggieMoose: Never To Late To Celebrate

Maggie's pawsability thought for the day:
"Rejoice with your family in the beautiful land of life!"

  On Sunday, over the Memorial weekend Maggie and I were treated to a family dinner. It was served up to us. Yes, we didn't have to do a thing. The kids brought flowers and cooked dinner. Nice! Maggie enjoyed wiggling her butt in excitement when her human siblings came over. It was my belated Mother's Day celebration. Memories of MaggieMoose puppy days flashed through my mind as she reverted to her puppy self at the sight of her human siblings. For me, this belated Mother's Day celebration was a special treat. All I had to do was show up. And I was already here! The food was brought in, prepared, cooked and practically served up. The appetizer was served as the dinner cooked in the oven. Maggie's nose went sniffing back and forth as her mind raced wondering if those smells were for her. Sorry Maggie-it's human food. She wasn't left out of the celebration though as a nice dental inspired rawhide treat was given to her when we sat down at the dinner table. We rejoiced in spirit thinking of our family miles apart that wasn't able to make it. Family in the beautiful land of life surrounded Maggie and me. Thanks family, while the dinner was delish, the main course of family being together was the best.

MaggieMoose: Springer Spring Forth

Maggie's pawsability thought for the day:
Yesterday the twig was brown and bare;
To-day the glint of green is there;
Tomorrow will be leaflets spare;
I know no thing so wondrous fair,
No miracle so strangely rare.
I wonder what will next be there!

It's the first day of Spring!

We can almost see the buds bloom!

Before our eyes!
