MaggieMoose: Sharing the Love
Maggie's pawsability thought for the day:
"If you want a love message to be heard, it has got to
be sent out. To keep a lamp burning, we have to keep putting oil in
it."
Maggie and I are very grateful we have each other. Others around us are grateful too. Maggie knows just how to kick up the love energy to the next level when she's around. On our Facebook: Mari Maggie Moosetracks or our MaggieMooseTracks page we see daily feeds from the ESRA (English Springer Rescue of America, Inc.). These English Springer Spaniel dogs need fostering, adoption or $ donations. Since Maggie is an English Springer Spaniel it hits close to our hearts. So many beautiful & loving dogs out there. All they want is someone to put oil in their love lamp. Maggie and I discussed this dilemma. We knocked our heads around wondering how could we spread the news? After all, the ESRA does a stellar job already of promoting their cause.... but when Maggie did a body slam in my lap for a hug it hit us. We realized for that love lamp to burn for dogs just wanting to share their hearts we have to do something. We decided to align with Rescued Is My Favorite Breed to fund raise by selling t-shirts with Maggie's smiling face on them. No, we don't get a cent, but the ESRA gets $5.00 per t-shirt, sweatshirt, or other clothing item. Our friends at Mountain House Feral Cat Rescue gave us the idea. Thanks kitty kat friends. Little Hummingbird's Net Of Love

The little green hummingbird was fluttering in the garden as Maggie and I watched through the dining room window. I didn't bother to get up to take a photo because the hummingbirds never stays in one spot long enough. This day was different. The bird kept staying in our eyesight. OK, I snapped the iPhone photo. Then poof it was gone. What a beautiful and joyful moment Maggie and I had watching the hummingbird. We felt the love from this little tiny bird. It caught our souls in that magical moment from our garden. Precious. We felt blessed since we don't have a hummingbird feeder to attract this beautiful bird. Just the pink flowers in our garden.

Paws To Love

Maggie paws of love
Maggie and I have our ritual of appreciation and love. In the morning I play the jazz station softly, and I drink a cup of coffee with Maggie at my side. We check our email. I read Maggie's to her. She hasn't mastered her vowels or consonants yet. I rub Maggie's paws when I'm on the laptop. I've done this since I first got Maggie as a puppy. It always settles her down while her big hazel eyes look at me with love. Her head drops down on her salmon colored plush pillow. Her eyes get sleepier and sleepier with each rub. Then she passes out in pure pleasure. If she doesn't have this appreciative love ritual Maggie hungers for her dose of loving from me. She loves it so much. I love Maggie's paws. It's comforting to paws to love her in the way that makes her feel appreciated and special. She double paws me back to show her love for me.

Love Fruit
Maggie's pawsability thought for the day:
"Love is a fruit in season at all times, and within reach of every hand."
Love is plump, juicy, and delicious. It's right in front of anyone's hands or paws. Ripe, bursting, and desiring to be chosen like the biggest, fattest strawberry. Maggie focuses on the big, fat heart full of love. She doesn't know about looking back at the little broken hearts scattered through time like us humans have a penchant to do. Maggie lives by Mother Teresa's words about love being a fruit. One big, fully committed chomp, and Maggie's bursting with love! Lucky me, because she just sprayed me with its yummy juice!
