MaggieMoose Awards: And The Twig Goes To.....

Maggie's pawsability thought for the day:
"Gratitude bestows reverence, allowing us to encounter everyday epiphanies, those transcendent moments of awe that change forever how we experience life and the world."

Maggie had a very busy 2012 holiday schedule. Her appointment book was filled to the tallest twig with friends and relatives. As her scribe, I wrote down all the names & dates of the special people who nominated MaggieMooseTracks.wordpress.com for various blogging awards. Many nominations came at the end of the year. What Christmas presents! Many WOOF WOOFs to our community of blogging pawsability believers for all nominations. I, as Maggie's scribe want to say the dog ate the homework, but I can't blame Maggie for my own foibles. On accident, I threw out the paper listing those folks I had kept to thank after our holiday company was gone. Meanwhile, January 2013 started out with another nomination: The Addictive Blog Award from Bella Remy Photography's Hoof Beats and Foot Prints.

Maggie went outside to search for the perfect twig to present as a thank-you gift to Bella Remy Photography (and symbolically to others). Once she settled on her chosen twig it was up to me to transcribe her thoughts. Where to start? My first thought was where did I place my list of gratitude? Maggie reminded me to acknowledge it and move on.... OK Maggie. Gratitude really does bestow reverence to Maggie and me. It is overwhelming to think that we started as one little twig, not yet a year ago. Branch by branch our blogging world has grown and is growing. We are filled with many transcendent moments of awe to those peers in the blogging world that reward us. Receiving awards for time spent sharing Maggie Moose's moose size pawsabilities to the world is inspirational. We hope that those bloggers whose names were on the list the dog didn't eat will forgive me for losing it. Maggie and I both so appreciate your kudos. Our heartfelt thanks to you all. We are forever changed. WOOF WOOF

Miracle On Snowy Moose Lane

Maggie's pawsability thought for the day:
"Could a greater miracle take place than for us to look through each other's eyes for an instant?"

MaggieMoose is all about the moose family since she's part moose and a connoisseur of twigs like her moose family. A dear friend sent us an email with some snowy moose photos. Woo Hoo! We were loving these images. A miracle indeed to see an albino moose in nature. The email stated these moose photos were taken north of the Wisconsin border near Marenisco, MI. No credit (that we could see) was given for the photographer, but we thank them whoever they are. WOOF! WOOF!

Maggie appreciates other's uniqueness since she is precious herself. She loves to look through another's eyes and step into their hooves or paws. Maggie thinks it improves one's vision on life and shows all the pawsabilities! After all, Maggie is a little snowy and a little brown. Her coat has both colors. For me, Miss Maggie is my miracle as I look through her eyes to see what I have never seen before. Maggie recommends trying this, just for an instant, you might be surprised when two snowy moose show up! MaggieMoose calls it living with moose size pawsabilities! WOOF! WOOF!

Thump, Thump, Bushels of Love

Maggie's pawsability thought for the day:
"Sometimes the heart sees what is invisible to the eye."

October. Leaves are falling everywhere. Different shapes, sizes and colors. What Maggie and I see on our walks are hearts of leaves all about. An old dried up, cracked leaf on the ground speaks to our hearts as we see the loving pawsabilities about. At one time it was a new leaf. Bright, and beautiful with so much potential like a young puppy. Our hearts say nothing has changed. An old leaf still glows with loving vibrations reminding us love is all around. Maggie in her adult body still radiates love with her every lick, wiggle, and mouthful of tennis ball. Our hearts see what is invisible to the eye. And they go thump, thump, bushels of love.

Homespun Cuteness

Maggie's pawsability thought for the day:
"I believe that love and laughter can only happen when one person takes the time to think about what would cause the other person to feel good."

Sometimes I want to look at cute puppies filled with pawsabilities like my Maggie. It always brings a smile to my face looking at puppies, kitties, or babies. These puppies were born on May 9th. I have a friend born on this day. He's a great guy who's mom usually celebrated his birthday around Mother's Day each year. My friend Ray was a ton of fun. We lost track of each other over the years, but the memories remain. He always brought a smile to my face with his funny antics. It's ironic across the miles that my dog's breeder Sharon took these photos of her puppies in front of a tree. I took photos of Maggie in front of a tree on the same day, without knowing Sharon (Maggie's breeder) took these puppy photos in the same way.... Hum....

Maggie's hair blowing in the wind with the sun on her face.... it's all about the loving pawsabilities!

Flowering Miracles From Above

Maggie's pawsability thought for the day:
"If we could see the miracle of a single flower clearly, our whole life would change."

Pawsabilities in a blossom

A single blossom from the tallest tree next to us laid at Maggie's feet. The beautiful colored pattern in the blossom impressed me the most. All my years of walking by this tree I'd never seen its blossoms up so close as when it was next to our feet. Shades of yellows, oranges, and greens layered so precisely within its tulip like shape. Fantastic! Maggie's curiosity peeked too. She bent down while I gazed at the blossom to get her own bird's eye view. The flowering miracle from above reminded us to slow down and appreciate the pawsabilities of a single flower. Life changing miracles delivered from above. Hallelujah!
