MaggieMooseTracks and Beyond...

"Life is either a daring adventure or nothing. To keep our faces toward change and behave like free spirits in the presence of fate is strength undefeatable."
Helen Keller

We've traveled to many new places, had many new adventures and met many wonderful new friends & family!

MaggieMoose: Friends Who Bow Chicka Bow Wow

Maggie's pawsability thought for the day:
"A friend is someone who gives you the total freedom to be yourself."

Maggie

A friend of Maggie's is called Little Man.  Her friend follows the beat of a different drummer. Little Man is 7 lbs of shaggilicious fun! Such an outgoing chap, he can be found watching movies in the theater (shush-don't tell anyone), taking long walks feeding the ducks or on a road trip searching for the Oregon trail!

Little Man

He's a go everywhere kind of guy that kicks it into gear when he puts on his BOW WOW CHICKA BOW WOW shirt.... and hits the trail! Little Man's a friend who has total freedom to be himself. Maggie likes this, because he accepts her "twigs" and all...

Little Man friendship!

MaggieMoose: Encouragement & Raffle?

Maggie's pawsability thought for the day:
"There is nothing better than the encouragement of a good friend."

Maggie, the pup with moose antlers, Polly porcupine, Charlie (5 years old), sister Livvy (7 years old), Flint, the feral cat, and Alfonso, the big alligator

Encouragement is a big word that Alfonso, the alligator likes. All of his forest friends cheer him on as he works out by doing his push ups. They all gave him fist pumps to encourage him to get active by doing his push ups. Oops, he ate too much on his vacation. No worries, it happens to everybody. Maggie thinks a little encouragement means B-I-G results of happiness! WOOF! WOOF! Friendship rocks!

MaggieMoose: Happy Friendship Day

Maggie's pawsability thought for the day:
"The language of friendship is not words but meanings."

Tommy 4 weeks & "B" 3 years (Boxer/Pit Bull mix rescue dog)

Friendship. There's baby boy Tommy & B the dog or Maggie & Flint kitty. Two beings who shouldn't get along, yet do. The meaning of friendship is a feeling both chose to accept. This acceptance of each other binds these two together; like B accepting Tommy's baby cries or Maggie laying still when she knows Flint kitty is about to pounce on her....

Happy Friendship Day! WA WA WOOF WOOF PURR PURR

MaggieMoose: Naomi Love & Book Approval

Maggie's pawsability thought for the day:
"One rainy Sunday when I was in the third grade, I picked up a book to look at the pictures and discovered that even though I did not want to, I was reading. I have been a reader ever since."

Maggie visited Naomi, the youngest of the MaggieMooseTracks® Making Friends book editors. Naomi is 6 years old. She was the first one to give us the kid loving stamps of approval.

Naomi's approval came before there were any beautifully colored illustrations in a bound paperback book. The MaggieMooseTracks® Making Friends words took Naomi on her adventure with Maggie. Now Naomi has her own MaggieMooseTracks® Making Friends book. It's signed by Maggie with her pink paw print. Our MaggieMooseTracks® book series (book 2 in September 2013) is for kids and adults, but to publish we had to choose the children's category; 6 up. Maggie and I want to challenge kids or adults to pull out that dictionary if needed to look up a word. We want to encourage the love of adventure reading both in a story and in learning new words. We want parents, friends or family to read to the kids who might not master the words yet for a bonding adventure! Maggie and I thank Naomi for giving us the thumbs up of approval! Although Naomi first read MaggieMooseTracks® Making Friends without any illustrations, our book has lots of adventure packed colored pictures throughout to get any reader interested. Maggie shouts out a big WOOF WOOF to Naomi! And a paw hug too. A perfect ending.

Counting, Dancing And Friends

Maggie's pawsability thought for the day:
"A friend knows the song in my heart and sings it to me when my memory fails."

One of Maggie's friends Bob

Maggie and I like to hear from our friends. This morning we were wonderfully surprised when I checked Maggie's email (she's all thumbs) and we heard from our friends Juri & Galvin. Awhile back we wrote about Juri and her service dog Galvin in our post Free Bird Juri "Because I Can". It looks like Galvin has been studying math now that school is back in session. Juri sent us a video clip of his counting skills in Galvin Math. Galvin has a brilliant mathematical mind. Maggie wants to acknowledge Juri for her teaching skills too. Mostly though, for Juri & Galvin reaching out in friendship and saying "hi" to us. WOOF WOOF! Maggie & math haven't been tested out yet. Maggie's gifts so far are in dancing. She can really wiggle her bum when she's excited. When that fails she'll sing for a tennis ball! Anything to entertain a friend. Or bring a smile or two.
