MaggieMoose: Friends Who Bow Chicka Bow Wow

Maggie's pawsability thought for the day:
"A friend is someone who gives you the total freedom to be yourself."

Maggie

A friend of Maggie's is called Little Man.  Her friend follows the beat of a different drummer. Little Man is 7 lbs of shaggilicious fun! Such an outgoing chap, he can be found watching movies in the theater (shush-don't tell anyone), taking long walks feeding the ducks or on a road trip searching for the Oregon trail!

Little Man

He's a go everywhere kind of guy that kicks it into gear when he puts on his BOW WOW CHICKA BOW WOW shirt.... and hits the trail! Little Man's a friend who has total freedom to be himself. Maggie likes this, because he accepts her "twigs" and all...

Little Man friendship!

MaggieMoose: Blue Blood Moose Gene Pool

Maggie's pawsability thought for the day:
"The privilege of a lifetime is being who you are."

Little did I know a couple years ago when Maggie arrived that I got a two for one package. Part dog and part moose. As a puppy, Maggie didn't just have moose size paws, but she came with a a very active moose gene pool twirling about inside of her. This was the part of her that swirls and twirls for a moose size love off twigs. She lives for twigs. I could make a coffee table book of all the photos I've taken of her twig delicacies she's brought me. On my part, it's acceptance. I accept her for who she is, part dog and part moose. On Maggie's part, it's privilege. Privilege to be who she is in her lifetime. Everyday she reminds me of this moose side of her. I acknowledge and accept this fact when I take another camera shot of a different twig hanging out of her mouth. The day I discovered that the word moose meant twig eater I put aside the need for a DNA test to prove she's part moose. Anyone that can track twigs down like Maggie is a true blue blood twig royal. She agrees. WOOF WOOF

MaggieMoose Swims In The Sea of Love

Maggie's pawsability thought for the day:

“Just like a sunbeam can't separate itself from the sun, and a wave can't separate itself from the ocean,
we can't separate ourselves from one another.
We are all part of a vast sea of love....”

It is Tuesday. Love Day. Maggie and I are Facebook friends with St. Joseph's Indian School in South Dakota. This school all about making a difference for Lakota (Sioux) kids in need. Without financial support these amazing kids might be homeless, hungry and living in abusive situations. We feel their love across the miles. We send our love and support back to them. Maggie and I love that at while living at St. Joseph's Indian School their are able to experience the love of learning their Lakota (Sioux) culture. Weekly on the St. Joseph's Indian School Facebook page they have a "Lakota word" for the day. Maggie is learning quite a few new words. Thank you kids! One of our favorite words is Wacantoognaka (Wah chan tay ogna kay) = Generosity/Generous with the Heart ♥ Maggie likes to be generous with her heart. She shares her love of twigs with me, her tennis balls, and her 50 lb. body as she plops down on me. If we are all in a sea of love Maggie thinks the least we can do is plunge in and swim with a generous heart....
