MaggieMoose: Camera Ready? CUT!

Maggie's pawsability thought for the day:
"Photography is more than a medium for factual communication of ideas. It is a creative art."

Meet Lester. He's a 14 year old, hard of hearing Cocker Spaniel. What a sweet, sweet boy he was although a little deaf. Maggie and Lester were ready for pick up from the groomer's at the same time. These two cuties had two things in common, both were Spaniels and both had the same haircut. Lester's mom and myself decided to get a photo of the both of them together. Maybe make that three things they both had in common since both dogs wanted to look the opposite way when it was camera time. Hold still Lester! Maggie look this way! Off the lens they were two peas in a pod right next to each other.

When Lester looked at the lens Maggie looked elsewhere. when Maggie looked at the lens Lester looked elsewhere. I found these two Spaniels to be predictably unpredictable. I found out photography is a creative art as I tried to line these two up for one great photo shot. I had to dig deep in my creativity pocket to work this photo shoot out. Two WOOFS from the Spaniels.

MaggieMoose: Back Home Making Friends

Maggie's pawsability thought for the day:
 "Fun is good."

When Maggie and I got back home from our road trip we went to visit Maggie's friend Naomi and her family. Naomi wanted to read Maggie's book: MaggieMooseTracks® Making Friends to her. They both had great fun! The day was spent with Naomi reading to Maggie, playing outside, and just hanging out together. Naomi and Maggie also looked at Maggie's Japanese edition of MaggieMooseTracks® Making Friends. We decided to make two music videos and call it: MaggieMooseTracks: Making Friends. Both videos are on our website www.MaggieMooseTracks.com under MaggieMooseTracks TV or on our YouTube channel MaggieMooseTracks. Fun is good when spent together with friends!

MaggieMoose: Road Trip 101 Making Friends

Maggie's pawsability thought for the day:
"Friends accept you the way you are."

Maggie can't help herself from being her tongue wagging cute self. In life, Maggie's found her cuteness doesn't always win friendships, but her kindness does. Making friends in school might be like this for Bradley who recently started school. When Bradley and Maggie met on her road trip to southern CA it was love at first lick. Bradley was quite excited about Maggie's 1st book too; MaggieMooseTracks® Making Friends
What touched my heart was seeing both Bradley & Maggie as new friends. Sometimes it's hard to make new friends. Maggie knows all about this. I thought ahhh...seeing both Bradley & Maggie beaming with friendship. Maggie learned that friends accept you just the way you are, licks and all. By the way, licks from Maggie are kisses in her #MMTWorld.
Best Friends Forever Bradley! WOOF WOOF
FYI Book 2 MaggieMooseTracks® Christmas Star is now for sale on Amazon.com!
Book 3 MaggieMooseTracks® Wolf Pack is due out Jan. 2014....

MaggieMoose: Road Trip 101 Top Of The World

Maggie's pawsability thought for the day:
"It's easier to go down a hill than up it but the view is much better at the top."

Maggie is quite the road trip traveler. She's up for anything. We went to the top of a mountain peak to get a view of the Pacific Ocean. We felt like explorers discovering the jewel of the sea. It was blustery. Maggie's ears blew everywhere. Couples in love sat on benches as Maggie romped across the grassy knoll. Her human sib Christy pointed to the ocean view like the Father Junipero Serra statue back home. Maggie was all eyes. She paws'd to look.

Maggie decided to take her spot on top of the world and feel the full force of the blustery view. When you're in southern CA do as the southern Californians do... We went Hollywood and created our own YouTube movie for her MaggieMooseTracks' channel. We called it: Maggie's On Top Of The World (click highlighted links to view). Maggie agrees that the view really is better at the top! WOOF WOOF

Maggie's On Top Of The World is also on our website under MaggieMooseTracks TV

MaggieMoose: Road Trip 101 'Track Girl'

Maggie's pawsability thought for the day:
"My grandmother started walking five miles a day when she was sixty. She's ninety-seven now, and we don't know where the heck she is."

Maggie's visiting her grandmother. Her schedule of an an early morning walk is still in effect on our road trip. Today's difference in the walk had Maggie hoofing it with her track star idol grandma. Instead of the cawing of the crows Maggie heard seagulls screeching. I held Maggie back for photo ops. When I let the leash loose Maggie sprinted to go get her grandma. At the finish line Maggie got her reward with her grandma track star close beside her.

MaggieMoose: Road Trip 101 "Are We There Yet?"

Maggie's pawsability thought for the day:
"Over the river and through the woods,
To grandmother's house we go..."

Today Maggie heads to her grandmother's house. Road trip 101 traveling with kids (OK, she's a dog)... the first requirement is for her to ask me the big question 'Are we there yet?' I'm wondering how long it will take before that happens. The car's packed and we're ready to rumba! ROAD TRIP! WOOF WOOF! And we're off....

MaggieMoose: Maggiefish Sea Dreams

Maggie's pawsability thought for the day:
"Imagination is everything. It is the preview of life's coming attractions."

Maggiefish

I happened to be out shopping with Maggie's human sib Christy. We saw a clown fish Halloween costume for dogs (like Finding Nemo). It was perfect for Maggie since both her human twin sibs have fish names due to their love of the water. One is Christyfish and one is Juliefish. Now there's Maggiefish. She happily swam around the house in her fish costume. The fins caught her attention the most. She wasn't sure if they were for flying or swimming. Last year Maggie was a bumblebee and had wings. Maybe there's some connection here... Either way, Maggie knows that without her having an imagination to swim or fly; where would she go? Life is more fun to see what she might bee (buzz, buzz) or what waters she might swim in with her imagination to guide her....Splash.

MaggieMoose: Love's Blossom

Maggie's pawsability thought for the day:
Immature love says: 'I love you because I need you.' Mature love says 'I need you because I love you.'

Maggie's blurry puppy days

Maggie still has the same look in her eyes as she did when she was a puppy. I can tell the difference in her maturity since she passed the 2 year mark of her dog life. She's more settled in, not as frenetic as she was as a puppy. Today excitement continues to rein when she meets & greets people, but especially her human siblings. Nowadays instead of pulling out every toy to share with the human sibs she becomes their very own personal shadow. Where they go, she goes. If possible, she attaches herself to their hips. Lots of loving. Maggie needs them because she loves them. Love's blossom.

MaggieMoose: Behind The Morning

Maggie's pawsability thought for the day:
"I have always been delighted at the prospect of a new day, a fresh try, one more start, with perhaps a bit of magic waiting somewhere behind the morning."

MaggieMoose: Good Morning Moon!

Maggie's pawsability thought for the day:
"No matter how busy you are, you must take time to make the other person feel important."

Maggie and I have been very busy getting this done or that done for everything called MaggieMooseTracks®. We're waiting for a proof copy of the Japanese translated version of Book 1 MaggieMooseTracks® Making Friends to arrive any day, we're getting ready to publish Book 2 : MaggieMooseTracks® Christmas Star (the holiday book), and Book 3 MaggieMooseTracks® Wolf Pack is in the rough draft process, plus much more is in the MaggieMooseTracks® pipeline. Whew! And a WOOF! WOOF! Did ya catch your breath there Maggie? When I walked outside this morning to check on Maggie's sniffing about I looked up at the sky. "Good morning moon," seemed like a natural thing to say. More important to me was my stopping to appreciate the beauty of that moment after all the busyness. Afterwards we both walked inside. I was puttering about. More busy, busy... Maggie sat there watching me. I stopped and looked back at her. A deep appreciation of love for Maggie swelled up in my throat. It's easy to forget to appreciate others when I get busy, busy, but not today....
Good morning Maggie. And P.S. I love you!
