MaggieMoose: Raining Sunshine & Flowers & Twigs

Maggie's pawsability thought for the day:
"Just living is not enough... one must have sunshine, freedom, and a little flower."

Our world has been under heavy dew drops. It has R-A-I-N-E-D for days. When the sunshine decided to sparkle its rays we went outside and soaked it up! We had one moment under the sun before the cloud cover returned. It was all we needed. A little freedom to look up and smile at the sunshine & flowers. Today's weather alerts are for heavy fog. Yes, we could barely see each other in the fog on our walk. We asked ourselves; this is California, right? Not London? Maggie's always the optimist rain or shine so, every day's a good day for her. Rain & wintry weather bring twigs a plenty. A big S-C-O-R-E  for a twig lover! After Maggie's morning walk she decided to burrow in for the remainder of winter to live life on a horizontal angle. Her sign is posted: Wakes up for twigs or sun. Flowers a bonus.

MaggieMoose: Cupcake Love...Oops, Friendship Love

Maggie's pawsability thought for the day:
"A single rose can be my garden... a single friend, my world."

Maggie always gets so excited when her human sib Julie comes over. I remember the time that Julie got a special package all the way from Washington, DC to the state of California. A box of cupcakes on the chill. Julie came over to get her package. Maggie went nuts. Wiggle butt action all over the place. Typical of me I asked Julie to pose with her box of cupcake love. Maggie wiggled in on the action.

OK Maggie step aside, no cupcakes for you-it's not your birthday. I took the next photo of my two girls and cupcake love or oops, pardon me-friendship love. Although family, Maggie and Julie are besties. A single rose or a box of cupcakes make theirs a solitary friendship all in one frame of Maggie's world.

Singing In The Rain

Maggie's pawsability thought for the day:
"And when it rains on your parade, look up rather than down. Without the rain, there would be no rainbow."

The forecast for today's California dew was showers likely in the morning and showers likely in the afternoon.  Showers! I thought bah humbug as I needed to walk Maggie. Another complaint inside of me started to surface. Criminy, I have to walk in the big rain-showers! Sometimes I'm just not in the mood for us to both getting soaked. Whiny moments.

The lazy voice on one side of me was screaming "Don't do it, think of all the work drying Maggie off!"

The battle of the voices continued with the angelic voice whispering "Maggie needs her walk, come on, it will be fun!"

My final thought was, OK, I'll do it.

I put on my rain boots, got Maggie's leash on her, and we headed out into the rain.  The rain was lightly sprinkling. We ran into our friendly gardener cleaning up after last night's stormy weather, and we both had a great time in the fresh air getting some exercise. What a great walk we had! I felt like Gene Kelly in Singing in the Rain! Perhaps, a little drier, but still very happy Maggie and I walked in the rain together with smiles on our faces.
