MaggieMoose: A Muse Yourself

Maggie's pawsability thought for the day:
"Living creatively is really important to maintain throughout your life. And living creatively doesn't mean only artistic creativity, although that's part of it. It means being yourself, not just complying with the wishes of other people."

My muse is Maggie. She's always just herself. Complying with my wishes might get my sweet dog a treat or two, but she maintains her individuality. In our home creativity is the juice that keeps us humming along, singing our song. Each day brings new bolts of creativity. They usually start with a WOOF WOOF. When we entered the blogging world many others suggested we do this kind of blog or we do that kind of blog. Maggie insisted we follow our own creative path. I agreed to walk along side her in the decision making for all our creative choices. When we went to write a children's book that would touch children's and adult's hearts we found many rules created by others. These rules stymied us for a bit. We decided to follow our own creative guidelines and wrote the book MaggieMooseTracks® Making Friends the way we wanted with not only a message, but lots of color inside & out!

When Maggie and I came across an online art website called See.Me we were amazed by the creativity we saw in the artwork submitted. It was like candy. Sweet! Many of these artists online are requesting supporters for their artwork. Our goal wasn't to get supporters, but to share photos of Maggie and nature. We felt we had something to share. Poof! A few of our photos were selected to be in an International Art Exhibition in NYC called The Story of the Creative! It opens this week on July 25, 2013. Our photos are under the name MaggieMooseTracks® (Mari & Maggie). I owe it all to Maggie, my muse who is just herself no matter what. Best advise for us is to follow our own path of creativity. It's how we live creatively.

The Story of the Creative, is an exhibition featuring artists from around the world. The work will go on view starting July 25th at the See | Me Exhibition Space in New York City.
