MaggieMoose: Tree Love

Maggie's pawsability thought for the day:

Trees

I think that I shall never see
A poem lovely as a tree.

A tree whose hungry mouth is prest
Against the earth's sweet flowing breast;

A tree that looks at God all day,
And lifts her leafy arms to pray;

A tree that may in summer wear
A nest of robins in her hair;

Upon whose bosom snow has lain;
Who intimately lives with rain.

Poems are made by fools like me,
But only God can make a tree.

Roots Of Goodness

Maggie's pawsability thought for the day:
"The roots of all goodness lie in the soil of appreciation for goodness."

  When Maggie and I walk along the street we see the most magnificent roots of enormously tall trees. These trees and their roots fascinate us. The roots are so powerful. We imagine that these roots have shared their goodness with others for many years. The birds that find shelter in the trees bring us joy too. We appreciate this tree and all the others along our path, because they are bringing us oxygen, shade from the heat, shelter from rain, and spectacular beauty. They are part of Mother Nature's creations standing so proud. We see their soul in each one of these trees. We feel connected. Maggie is reminding me, it is time to go for a walk. OK, let's go appreciate the soil of goodness along our path. Woof Woof
