MaggieMooseTracks: Wolf Pack Love

Maggie's pawsability thought for the day:
"I hope to make people realize how totally helpless animals are, how dependent on us, trusting as a child must that we will be kind and take care of their needs."
When Maggie and I heard that wolves are in peril due to politics, not science, we decided to write our next fiction kids' book about the theme of prejudice against wolves. It's called: MaggieMooseTracks® Wolf Pack. Our book will be available mid-December 2013 and information will be posted on our website: www.MaggieMooseTracks.comWe mention two organizations in our book under Acknowledgments; "Defenders of Wildlife” and "My Pack Of Wolves Sanctuary". They are a small sampling of organizations trying to do their best to educate, and preserve these magnificent creatures. Kids & parents need to know that all wolves are beautiful animals with strong social bonds and important to the ecosystem. Once they’re gone-they’re gone. People must act now. The wolf issue is a delisting disaster in the making. Where's the science? Wolves are dependent on us to take care of their needs. We have the wolf pack love. Will you? WOOF WOOF

MaggieMoose: Dream & Live Life In Full Color

Maggie's pawsability thought for the day:
"If you can dream it, you can do it."

Maggie and I are living proof if you can dream it, you can achieve it. Our vision was to create a kids' adventure book series that unbeknownst to the kiddies taught them character lessons in life. We wanted to share our dream in full, living color on beautiful white paper written in a chapter book format, not with black & white illustrations on recycled looking paper. We also wanted to give kids a magical and fun way to see the world while letting their imaginations be their guide. A simple answer was to let them see life in colors of the rainbow. Kids soon will be able to eat, read and sleep (plush puppy coming soon) in Maggie's wonderful world of moose size pawsabilities. We've created not only her MaggieMooseTracks® book series, but coming soon is her MaggieMooseTracks® Making Friends kids' melamine meal set. It's all eco friendly and in full color. We dreamed it and it came true...

Our first book MaggieMooseTracks® Making Friends was followed by our 2nd book MaggieMooseTracks® Christmas Star, both sell on amazon.com. Book 3 called MaggieMooseTracks® Wolf Pack will be available on amazon.com before you can check your moose antlers. Our kids' meal set will sell on our Etsy shop: MaggieMooseTracks. While our MaggieMooseTracks® books are for age group 6 up, adults love them too-they're for all ages! Thanks Walt for the inspiration. Maggie and I are living life with moose size pawsabilities around the world...

Whoever buys our books and writes a review on Amazon.com will get a special 2 sided MaggieMooseTracks bookmark (you can color on it too) to match their purchased book! Just email your address after you write your review to: WOOF@MaggieMooseTracks.com

MaggieMoose: Go Big Or Go Home to Etsy

Maggie's pawsability thought for the day:
"Go big or go home. Because it's true. What do you have to lose?"

It's early Monday morning. Of course that means twig time. Maggie went BIG TWIG today. It's so early & black outside that not a rooster has crowed yet. Only the light from her turtles' tank highlights her catch of the day. Maggie's twig extends to the end of the photo image being camouflaged against the carpet. Big twig. We believe that moniker of Go big or Go home. Maggie went big. She opened up her MaggieMooseTracks Etsy shop this weekend. Our link to Etsy is on the MaggieMooseTracks webpage or search 'MaggieMooseTracks' on Etsy. We've started with a couple of things. Coming down the pike we'll have some really fun MaggieMooseTracks® goodies. First, Maggie needs to concentrate on negotiating what kind of reward she'll get for that big Monday morning twig. It's the ole twig exchange program; drop the twig and get a snack. What has she got to lose?

MaggieMoose: Twig Art! Thanks TED Talk!

Maggie's pawsability thought for the day:
"Art is the proper task of life."

Maggie and I watched a TED talk video by Alexa Meade: Your Body Is My Canvas. Art beautiful is what we thought! We were so excited after watching Alexa's talk that Maggie ran outside, grabbed a select twig and posed for me. SNAP! Photo taken. Maggie has decided to use her body as the canvas and express her "twig art" for the world to see. This is a task Maggie is up for. We want to thank the TED talk forum for highlighting the artist Alexa Meade and her Your Body Is My Canvas. Maggie's inspired. The twig's the limit! WOOF WOOF

MaggieMooseTracks® Helps Boo Boo Feel Better!

Maggie's pawsability thought for the day:
"Yesterday's the past, tomorrow's the future, but today is a gift. That's why it's called the present."

When 19 month old Koa got a boo boo on his finger his dad knew where to take him. Off they rushed to his mom's Emergency Room where she was on duty as an Emergency Room doctor. Sometimes doctor moms need a little extra help for those hurting boo boos. Koa sat in his dad's lap fussing. His mom handed him the MaggieMooseTracks® Making Friends book. Suddenly, the magazine his parents tried to use to distract him was tossed to the side. Koa's little hand grabbed the book. A big smile appeared on Koa's face. He gently turned the pages. MaggieMooseTracks® Making Friends book is for the 6 up age group, but his underage of 19 months didn't stop Koa from liking Maggie's book!

I remember the days of taking Maggie's human siblings to the doctor for the same kind of emergency visits. I wish books like MaggieMooseTracks® Making Friends were available back then. I created the MaggieMooseTracks® books filled with bright and beautiful colored illustrations in a chapter book format, because kids love color! The hidden gems in the MaggieMooseTracks® books are the valuable life lessons for kids of character building, self esteem, and much more. Little did I know that when I created my books that they might help distract a cutie like Koa from his boo boo's pain. Maggie's books are like having a friend with you. Who doesn't like having a friend with them in their time of need? Koa was a trooper. After all, his name means "brave warrior". Maggie was happy to give him the gift of making his present time in the Emergency Room all better. WOOF WOOF little Koa friend!

Book 1 MaggieMooseTracks® Making Friends is the first of Maggie's book series.
Book 3 MaggieMooseTracks® Wolf Pack is coming soon!
Keep checking the website for the latest and kids- go see the printable coloring pages on Maggie's website!
All books available on Amazon.com in paperback & Kindle format.

MaggieMoose: A Whole Lot of Being... Herself

Maggie's pawsability thought for the day:
"I really think that being yourself, being original, being outside the box is starting to be appealing to people."

Maggie tried to pull a fast one. Fast food twig to go? I called it her twig Take-In instead of her let's get a twig for Take-Out. If Maggie had her way the twig goes inside. Sorry girl. I appreciate you being yourself, thinking outside the box, being original, and all that, but you're great as you are- sans twig. I read her mind when I said that. Her reply "More originality coming up Mum!"
