MaggieMoose: Tree Love

Maggie's pawsability thought for the day:

Trees

I think that I shall never see
A poem lovely as a tree.

A tree whose hungry mouth is prest
Against the earth's sweet flowing breast;

A tree that looks at God all day,
And lifts her leafy arms to pray;

A tree that may in summer wear
A nest of robins in her hair;

Upon whose bosom snow has lain;
Who intimately lives with rain.

Poems are made by fools like me,
But only God can make a tree.

MaggieMoose: Adventure Girl

Maggie's pawsability thought for the day:
"The biggest adventure you can take is to live the life of your dreams."

Maggie's an adventure girl in her real life and in her fictitious dog life inside the covers of her book  MaggieMooseTracks® Making Friends. A welcoming Maggie tongue wag greets people in real life and in her fiction book.

Yesterday on our morning walk we came across an acorn. Acorns! Holy Fall season! Really, fall is almost here? Maggie was chill. She looked at the acorn, acknowledged the other acorns scattered around and walked on. If adventure girls looks forward to each day in front of them, then that's my girl Maggie. After all, acorns are little seeds of greatness to come. Ask the mighty oak Maggie says. Who knows, maybe this little 50 lb. acorn Maggie might hit the bestseller list with her MaggieMooseTracks® books? Anything is pawable... Each day she lives the life of her dreams one paw in front of the other as she spins her adventure tales in her MaggieMooseTracks® book series and in real life. After our walk adventure girl Maggie hopped in the car and wagged her tongue. I read her mind. It said road trip

MaggieMooseTracks® Making Friends is sold on Amazon. Reviews are most welcome! WOOF WOOF

MaggieMoose: Grandma Love

Maggie's pawsability thought for the day:
"Grandmas never run out of hugs or cookies."

Maggie's clearing her calendar. She's getting everything done on her 'to do' list before she takes her road trip to Grandma's house. For me, that means making sure she's not overeating now, because I have a sneaky feeling there will be a treat or two slipped to Maggie when my eyes are turned. Last Christmas Maggie picked up a couple pounds when Grandma visited for the holidays. "Oh, let her have another treat..." Maggie's gonna be wagging that little nubbin of a tail soon when she's smothered in Grandma love. Grandmas never seem to run out of hugs or dog cookies. I can hear it now during our visit to grandma's house "Oh Maggie's a perfect girl." Hug, hug, cookie, cookie.... I think I remember my grandma saying the same thing about me. Hugs & cookies forever.

MaggieMoose: Friday & The Art Of Happiness

Maggie's pawsability thought for the day:
"People are surprised at how down-to-earth I am. I like to stay home on Friday nights and listen to 'The Art of Happiness' by the Dalai Lama.

Enjoy, it's Friday! Twig in mouth, I'm good!

MaggieMoose: Green Day

Maggie's pawsability thought for the day:
"Green is the prime color of the world, and that from which its loveliness arises."

Maggie and I never know what we might find on our walks. Smack dab in the middle of the sidewalk was a perfectly shaped green pine cone with its branch. A gift from above. Maggie paws'd as we stared at the green beauty. Back home we paws'd at the Coral Hummingbird plant. We admired its simplistic green beauty with a splash of pink. It was a lovely green day.

Thank you Mother Nature

MaggieMoose: Shiny Stars & Moonbeams

Maggie's pawsability thought for the day:
"Shoot for the moon and if you miss you will still be among the stars."

Maggie looks ahead. One paw after another. Tongue wagging. She's ever the optimist bounding about with her enthusiasm. Pure love. When I pet her and feel her velvety face in my hands I feel I've landed on the moon. Maggie's my shiny star. When she whispers in my ear her fictional stories for people (kids & adults) I comply as her scribe and write them down. Maggie's all about sharing the love and bringing out the best in others. Her heart is a gateway to love.

Soon others can have her smiley tongue wagging face looking at them when they have their own little Maggie plush toy. She's sharing the love with a plush toy of herself complete with a bandanna and her logo. It's soft and squooshy like Maggie, but a little bit smaller. Maggie will sell her plush on our website: www.MaggieMooseTracks.com. It's the perfect companion for her MaggieMooseTracks® book series. Or for someone just wanting a little MaggieMoose shiny star sparkling in their life. Some of her feline friends call it the "cat's meow".

Book 1 MaggieMooseTracks® Making Friends sells on Amazon.com. In September 2013, Book 2 MaggieMooseTracks® Christmas Star will be sold on Amazon.com too. Drum roll there's more.... coming next Spring 2014, Book 3 of the MaggieMooseTracks® adventures will be available. Meanwhile, Book 1 translated into Japanese will be sold in the Japanese market through Amazon/Japan late this month or early September  Hugs & licks from Maggie. Moose size dreams from me. Remember, shoot for the moon!

MaggieMoose: Moose Size Dreams

Maggie's pawsability thought for the day:
"To accomplish great things, we must not only act, but also dream; not only plan, but also believe."

We have some chocolate moose for our #MMTWorld celebration of #MooseMonday. YUM. For me, it's all about the moose size dream of chocolate come true. Since Maggie is the moose in this house she's happy if I'm happy. Hey, wait a minute! Maggie, do I see a twig hanging out of your mouth? Now that's Maggie's idea of moose size dreaming. Moose” comes from an Algonquin Indian word meaning “twig-eater”. Happy #MooseMonday!

World-Famous Springer Spaniel, ‘Maggie’, Woofs Way into Over 87 Countries with Whimsical New Children’s Book

World-Famous Springer Spaniel, ‘Maggie’, Woofs Way into Over 87 Countries with Whimsical New Children’s Book. Since establishing her now award-winning blog, MaggieMooseTracks®, Mari Campbell has inspired thousands of readers with stories of her lovable and always-entertaining Springer Spaniel. Since the release of her debut children’s book based on a fictionalized Maggie, 'MaggieMooseTracks®: Making Friends' has become a barking hit in over eighty-seven countries.

For Immediate Release

Menlo Park, CA – Just like the old adage that says a dog is man’s best friend, Maggie the English Springer Spaniel and owner Mari Campbell are an inseparable duo that have rapidly captured the hearts of people around the world – in over 87 countries to be exact!

Their unique human and hound relationship first gained fame in 2012 when Campbell launched her blog, MaggieMooseTracks®, to share adventurous and entertaining stories about Maggie. However, after winning no less than a dozen awards (including ‘Blog of the Year’ and ‘The Addictive Blog Award’), Campbell quickly realized that Maggie’s influence could stretch farther than an online journal.
“Feedback from readers made it clear that the stories of Maggie were imparting vital life lessons for all ages. Word of the blog was quickly spreading. A children’s book series seemed like a natural fit,” says Campbell.

After much research, development and plenty of help from Maggie, Campbell is delighted to announce the launch of her first book – ‘MaggieMooseTracks®: Making Friends’.

Synopsis:
Maggie is an English Springer Spaniel puppy with moose antlers who gets lost on the way to her new family. When Maggie’s lost in the woods...will Alfonso the alligator eat her? Or will the other dangers get her before she can find her new family?

Campbell is thrilled with both the book and the response it has garnered.

“People of all ages are reading it; even adults with no children! This is a true testament to Maggie and her knack for inspiring happiness around the world. The book is now available worldwide and I’ve already had it translated into Japanese – it will be available at the end of August, 2013. There’s no stopping Maggie and her determination!” she adds.
Since its release, the book has collected a consistent string of rave reviews.
“MaggieMooseTracks® - making friends is a truly wonderful story of friendship and fun. My five year old daughter and myself thoroughly enjoyed reading all about Maggie’s antics and the friends she made along the way. We cannot wait to see what little Maggie gets up to next!” says Kirsty-Lee Masters, reviewing the book on Amazon.
Trella Davis was equally as impressed, adding, “The theme of realizing that you are precious, was just ... precious. The characters, story and moose-antlered dog Maggie have us hooked now. The writing is smart, funny, and endearing; also has some deeper messages that come out well.”

To accompany the book, Campbell recently announced that a line of Maggie merchandise is in the works. With plush toys expected to be available within the next one to two months, any child (or adult!) can have a Maggie of their own.

With her unstoppable energy and life-changing outlook, everyone is waiting to see what Maggie will get up to next! In the short term, the next book – ‘MaggieMooseTracks® Christmas Star’ – is due for release in September of 2013.

Until then, ‘MaggieMooseTracks®: Making Friends’ is available from Amazon in Kindle and paperback formats: http://amzn.to/1a1ElhO

MaggieMoose: The Art Of Photo Love

Maggie's pawsability thought for the day:
"What I dream of is an art of balance, of purity and serenity devoid of troubling or depressing subject matter - a soothing, calming influence on the mind, rather like a good armchair which provides relaxation from physical fatigue."

Maggie lays next to me while I sip my coffee in her cup. We decided to look over some photos from our Half Moon Bay excursion. Maggie naturally gravitates to the dog photos or photos of flowers and other pretty things. The best dog photo we have is of Reno, a 9 year old Australian Shepherd mix. This pup is the epitome of relaxation. He didn't move for anyone for he was one with the floor.

Maggie reminds me she can be "one with" her surroundings too. For instance, we have a photo of her with her grandma. We call it "Grandma Love", but maybe we should have named it the 'Grandma Melt". It's in a photo contest called One Life 2013. Maggie kindly asks "Would you please VOTE today for her "Grandma Love" photo? The art of relaxation.

MaggieMoose: Love of The Moose Within

Maggie's pawsability thought for the day:
"Love is a force more formidable than any other. It is invisible - it cannot be seen or measured, yet it is powerful enough to transform you in a moment, and offer you more joy than any material possession could.

It's Monday. #MooseMonday in Twitter land. Or in #MMTWorld or in #Love or in MaggieMoose's world. We requested some #MooseLove for our Monday posts and here we go! Maggie has some double love here, because her human sib is one with the moose. We left our hearts in San Francisco when her sib recently moved there. Sib, what do you mean you're not down the road to come over and walk me? Maggie chanted....Om Om Om...trying to center herself. Walking around Haight St. in SF felt light years away from the 1960's, yet it still has the same eclectic crowd. It put us in a groovy mood. Maggie decided to join in the fun with the placard in front of one of the markets. She was all about the #Mooselove with her flower power and bell bottoms. Far out! Maggie can center herself knowing that her sib is a moose size kiss away. #Mooselove zen, an invisible force with the power to transform in a moment.

Would you like to send us your MOOSE love? We'll share your photo of  being 'one with the moose' around the world on our Monday Moose size post?
Give us a WOOF@MaggieMooseTracks.com with that moose photo!
All moose welcome.

MaggieMoose: One With The Great White! Making Waves!

Maggie's pawsability thought for the day:
"I'm like a shark. I've got to be constantly moving."

Maggie and I have been watching #sharkweek. She decided to take a spin on the great white. HOLY shark! Hold onto your fins! We sat in the comfort of our home and watched the sharks. Every now and then Maggie covered her eyes with her paws. I read her mind "Don't look now!" Gotcha! Unlike the movie Jaws there's some pawsome beach town zen going on too. Maggie liked the mermaid & seashells from a Half Moon Bay bookstore.... Best of all she likes that her MaggieMooseTracks® books will be selling in a local Half Moon Bay store called SavvySkirts!

And like a shark, Maggie is constantly on the move... she's riding the big wave with new creations coming to life! We have the Japanese version of MaggieMooseTracks® Making Friends book for sale on Amazon in Japan late August 2013, a new MaggieMooseTracks® Holiday book called MaggieMooseTracks® Christmas Star available September 2013' on Amazon.com like her 1st book MaggieMooseTracks® Making Friends.
Plus, we have a little MaggieMooseTracks® plush coming up for sale on our website www.MaggieMooseTracks.com... just in time for the HOLIDAYS!

Wouldn't you like a MaggieMooseTracks® Hug from a companion plush to cuddle up with your MaggieMooseTracks® book? Maggie does. Hugs & Licks!

MaggieMoose: Tugboats & Holiday Books

Maggie's pawsability thought for the day:
"I saw the angel in the marble and carved until I set him free."

Whenever we see a red tugboat we think of the Little Golden Book called Scruffy the Tugboat. Scruffy wanted to adventure out into the sea from his safe toy shop. It reminds us of the magic of imagination in story telling. We gathered that magic and spun a new holiday book. It's out this September 2013' called MaggieMooseTracks® Christmas Star
The manuscript is with the artist who illustrated our 1st book: MaggieMooseTracks® Making FriendsIt too will be for sale on Amazon.com. We hope everyone finds the holiday spirit when our fictionalized Maggie searches for the meaning of her holiday tradition.
Here's a sneak peek:

MaggieMooseTracks® Christmas Star
Maggie spends her first winter in the forest. When Flint, the feral cat celebrates Hanukah, Maggie asks herself what is her holiday tradition? Meanwhile, Mr. & Mrs. Beaver try to save Maggie’s friend Charlie from drowning in the raging river. This adventure and more keep Maggie and her friends busy while Maggie searches for the meaning of her Christmas tradition. Will she find it upon the Christmas star? ©

We too saw an angel and set free in our book: MaggieMooseTracks® Christmas Star!

MaggieMoose: Goggle-licious Creativity & Food

Maggie's pawsability thought for the day:
"Creativity is a great motivator because it makes people interested in what they are doing. Creativity gives hope that there can be a worthwhile idea. Creativity gives the possibility of some sort of achievement to everyone. Creativity makes life more fun and more interesting."

Lunch at Google's San Francisco office was great! Although Google is dog friendly work place on this trip Maggie stayed home. Maggie's human sib and I started our tour with a bang in the parking garage  How many ELFs do you know? Then up to the 4th floor to the main lobby. After the Google lobby, photos were limited per their photo policy. We obliged. Darn! The mental movie of the Google cafeteria will have to stay in my mind and replay over and over.

True confessions here: I've loved Google since it first came out. Inquiring minds need to know! Google gets me to 'my need to know' information. Onto the lunch... There was an awesome view from the cafeteria. I was allowed to take photos outside on the balcony.

The highlight came when we were just about to leave Google. We met Willa, the Weimaraner. I think my enthusiasm took her by surprise. She was a little shy. I guess I'm use to Maggie, my English Springer Spaniel who will meet & greet till the cows come home. Willa's owner gave me permission to take photos of her. Unfortunately, Willa wanted to look anywhere but at the camera. She wouldn't hold still either. Blurry images filled the camera screen. The aftermath was my photos weren't able to display Willa's true beauty and poise. In the future, if Willa's owner wants me to post one of his photos of this beautiful girl Willa, I'm happy to oblige.

We left Google thinking our Google SFO tour was over. We were wrong. Across town when we were climbing the hills of San Francisco our Subbie car was behind a Google Self Driving car!

Amazing what creativity can do! You GO GOOGLE! Our life in San Francisco was made more interesting thanks to Google SFO!
PS. Yes, it's a true story, the Google cafeteria rocks! YUM and I'm still full!

MaggieMoose: Cow Love... MOOSE LOVE MONDAY

Maggie's pawsability thought for the day:
“Hunters will tell you that a moose is a wily and ferocious forest creature. Nonsense. A moose is a cow drawn by a three-year-old.”

Maggie and I have moose love. We also have cow love. What's a pup to do? MOOSE IT UP! There is a #moosemonday in the Twittersphere-no, we didn't think that up. Maggie and I prefer #MMTWorld for our moose love in Twitterville.

SEND US us your moose photo! WOOF@MaggieMooseTracks.com
We'll post it on our #MMTWorld moose love post! Ironically, it will be on Mondays! Any kind of moose; hands above the head for antlers, family by a moose statue, a real moose, a moose drawing, wear some moose antlers like Maggie-get creative! If a 3 year old can draw a moose cow so, can you! Maggie will send the weekly photo a #MMTWorld beach ball globe with her cute moose mug on it!
Tell your friends and pass the ball around the world. bounce bounce bounce
